Author Sulakshana Misra is the eldest of the three kids, born in the family of a banker and homemaker. Academically she is a Science graduate. Her love for education and learning has lead her to pursue MBA (International Business) from Symbiosis Pune via distance education after taking up the full-time job as a Banker. She believes in learning new things on a regular basis. Currently she is learning German language. She is FINTECH professional. She earned her FINTECH Prodegree from Imarticus in collaboration with Barclays London. Besides this, she has earned various certificates from Indian Institute of Banking and Finance to help her.
She joined State Bank of India as a Probationary Officer in 2008. State Bank of India is the largest nationalised Bank in India. Currently she is working as a Manager and is posted at her hometown, Lucknow, where she stays in the joint family. Married to Mr. Saurabh Misra, Business Consultant, working with a European steel conglomerate and is based in Germany. Besides reading and writing, she loves to travel. She has extensively travelled across the globe. Mother of a toddler, literature is her passion. She writes stories, poems and articles in Hindi and English.
Besides reading, writing and travelling, she is very keen on taking up charitable works from her own sources. She derives immense pleasure and satisfaction in helping the weaker section of the society. Currently her efforts towards the charitable projects are at a very smaller level. She dreams to take up some larger steps to play her role of a responsible citizen in the society in future.
Some of her poems have been published in Indian national daily Amar Ujala and e-Abhivyakti. Besides this, she frequently self publishes her writings on Pratilipi and Story Mirror. She is also very active on various social media platforms which promote literature and poetry.
She has co-authored various Anthologies, The Untold Stories, Shakti Anthology, Shazar ki chaanv taley- The Poets Scribble, The Journey of Soulmates and Epiphany. Her anthology of English poems, The Unsung Verses was her first solo book which was released on 2nd April, 2021. “Seep ka moti” is her collection of 51 Hindi poems which was released on 11th May 2021.
